The traditional harp has its own repertoire of pieces which bring out the best in the instrument. These pieces are part of the traditional music of Britain and Ireland and are characterised by beautiful melodies that are appropriate for all social occasions.
While nothing can match the traditional pieces that have been played on the harp for hundreds of years, Liath also has a large repertoire of classical and popular music for those who would like something a little different.
Below are sound files of the most popular selections. You can also view Liath's repertoire lists. The full list contains sections for traditional, classical, popular and Christmas music. Alternatively, there is a select list which gives popular choices and advice on music for wedding ceremonies. This is a really useful starting point and can help you to form an overall plan for your wedding music. You can also see Christmas music on the dedicated page here.
Please enquire if you would like a piece that is not on the list. Liath enjoys the challenge of learning and arranging new pieces for the harp, and where possible, will be very happy to do this for you. Bear in mind that at least six weeks notice must be given in order that she can rehearse
to the required standard. If you would like Liath to learn
more than two new pieces for you, there will be an
additional charge.
